Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Coach / Assistant Men’s and Women’s Track & Field Coach in Gambier, OH
Kenyon College invites applications for the position of Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Coach and Assistant Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Coach. This is a full time, 10-month reporting position with benefits. The Head Cross Country Coach will be responsible for all phases of strong leadership in managing the NCAA DIII Cross Country program in accordance and compliance with NCAA, NCAC, and Kenyon College policies and regulations. This includes but is not limited to coaching, providing leadership for assistant coaches, scouting, recruiting, instructing, strength training & conditioning, arranging travel, managing budgets, tracking equipment and developing alumni contacts. This position will also serve as an Assistant Track and Field Coach. Other assignments will be defined by the Director of Athletics and may include game management, facility overview, teaching, and / or administration. Administrative Assistant for the Department of Athletics, Fitness, and Recreation in Gambier, OH
Kenyon College invites applications for the position of Administrative Assistant for the Department of Athletics, Fitness, and Recreation. This is a full-time, 11-month reporting position with benefits. The Administrative Assistant provides support to the Department of Athletics, Fitness and Recreation by managing the staffing and business of the Information/Welcome Desk and in the areas of student and professional personnel, event management, and general organization. This position has direct oversight of department member calendars, team rosters, game contracts, and hiring processes as well as coordinating many of the department’s large events. Providing assistance to the department’s directors in a variety of ways, this position maintains the internal operational policies and procedures and tracks external compliance within the North Coast Athletic Conference and the NCAA. Assistant Track and Field (Throws) Coach in Gambier, OH
Kenyon College seeks a full-time assistant coach for Track and Field. Under the general direction of the Track and Field Head Coach, this coach will assist with the responsibilities of the NCAA D-III Men’s and Women’s Track and Field program in accordance and compliance with NCAA, NCAC, and Kenyon College policies and regulations. All applications will be considered, but an emphasis will be given for this position to candidates with experience teaching and instructing student-athletes in the rules and fundamentals of the throwing groups. Additional responsibilities include: recruiting, travel, equipment acquisitions and maintenance, as well as event management and facility overview as assigned. Secondary duties involve assistance with Cross Country meets and travel. The Kenyon College Bookstore is the nation's longest continuously-operating college bookstore, and the third-oldest bookstore of any kind in America. Today, the bookstore occupies a central location on the Kenyon campus. It sells textbooks, trade books, clothing, gifts, food and drink, glassware, greeting cards, stationery, and sundries. The bookstore also serves as a center of social life on campus staying open until 11 pm, seven days a week when classes are in session.

Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Biology (Plant Biology) in Gambier, OH
The Kenyon College Biology Department invites applications for a tenure-track position in the starting in July 2022. We seek a broadly trained biologist with expertise in plant biology at the organismal level. We seek candidates whose research focuses on plants, including structure, physiology, systematics, biochemistry, plant disease, environmental biology, and related fields. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to excellent teaching, inclusive course experiences, effective mentoring, and strong academic support for our diverse student population. Teaching expectations are 5 courses per year, including introductory biology as well as existing (e.g., Plant Biology or Plant Physiology) and/or new courses at the upper level. We expect a vigorous research program that involves undergraduate students, leads to publications, and has potential to attract extramural funding. Applicants should hold a PhD degree; post-doctoral experience is preferred. We encourage applications from all groups historically underrepresented in the sciences.
