Assistant Professor of Sociology, Tenure-Track Gambier, OH
The Sociology Department at Kenyon College invites applications for a tenure-track position beginning July 1, 2022. We seek a cultural sociologist and contemporary theorist with subfield work in either race and ethnicity, education, or religion. Candidates should also demonstrate their commitment to a career in the liberal arts. We will prioritize candidates with a strong record of teaching excellence; a commitment to student advising and mentorship; and plans to incorporate student researchers into their research programs. Senior Assistant Coach, Men's & Women's Tennis Gambier, OH
Kenyon College invites applications for the position of Senior Assistant Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach. This is a Full time, 10-month reporting position with benefits. Working beside the Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach, this coach will assist with the responsibilities of successful NCAA D-III Men’s and Women’s programs in accordance and compliance with NCAA, NCAC, and Kenyon College policies and regulations. The Senior Assistant Coach will work in conjunction with the head coach to fulfill the following responsibilities: coaching and instructing, recruiting, arranging travel, managing budgets, tracking equipment and developing alumni contacts, The Senior Assistant Coach will function as the coach of record for one team when the men’s and women’s teams are split at different sites of competition. Although the head coach will be primarily responsible for the organization and maintenance of the program, this position will have significant input into this process. Additional responsibilities will be assigned in game management, facility overview, teaching and /or administration. It is also expected that the Senior Assistant Coach for Men’s and Women’s Tennis embrace the department mission of fostering learning and developing community with a focus on the values of citizenship, competition, resiliency, sportsmanship, and teamwork within Kenyon’s unique campus culture. Administrative Assistant to the President’s Division Gambier, OH
Kenyon College is conducting a search for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Administrative Assistant to the President's Division. The administrative assistant to the president’s division will support the office of the president as well as the office of campus events and other offices within the division, as needed. This individual is responsible for the general operations of the president’s office, which includes greeting visitors, daily office tasks, and assisting the executive assistant to the president when needed. This position will be focused on supporting campus governance bodies, including the board of trustees, campus senate, and senior staff as well as presidential and campus events. The administrative assistant must have exceptional organizational skills and be highly detail-oriented. The ability to work with a great deal of flexibility, multi-task, function in a busy team-oriented office environment, and meet deadlines is required for this position, and the person in this position must be proficient in and comfortable with spreadsheet management and word processing. Residential Life Coordinators Gambier, OH

A talented visual storyteller, the Video Producer crafts, edits and packages multimedia pieces that creatively and cleverly convey Kenyon’s brand distinctions across our digital platforms. With an ear for narrative and eye for composition, the Video Producer captures Kenyon’s voice through film and photography, developing and distributing media that ranges from long-form interviews and YouTube series to quick-hitting teasers and social media posts. Director of Public Relations and Campus Communications Gambier, OH

Director of Consortial Library Systems Oberlin College
The Five Colleges of Ohio (a consortium of The College of Wooster, Denison University, Kenyon College, Oberlin College and Ohio Wesleyan University) seeks its next Director of Consortial Library Systems, a key position that provides leadership in current and future library information technology solutions and strengthens collaboration among our five libraries. Overseeing the multi-college integrated library system CONSORT, the Director supports a contemporary, user-centered information environment and implements integrations between CONSORT and other campus systems. The Director partners with the library directors to advance new ideas, leads consortial working groups, and provides collaborative training among the five colleges. The successful candidate will hold an ALA-accredited MLS/MLIS or equivalent education and/or experience in an academic library. A strong academic background is essential, ideally leading an Integrated Library System, preferably Sierra (Innovative Interfaces) with success in migrating library systems and managing print and electronic resources. The Director plans and implements technology projects through knowledge of emerging trends in library technology and experience with Amazon Web Services or other cloud-based infrastructure as well as programming and database query languages, e.g. SQL, HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, PHP/MySQL, Python. The Director should have strong interpersonal and communications skills, working independently and in a team environment with library directors and staff with a range of backgrounds and skills. The Director supervises a full-time Library Systems Analyst from an office that can be located on any of the five campuses, with flexibility for some remote work. Two-year Residential Post-Graduate Fellowship with the Center for the Study of American Democracy Gambier, OH
The Center for the Study of American Democracy at Kenyon College invites applications for a two-year residential post-graduate fellowship to begin in August 2021 that explores the nexus between market and society and the role of markets in economic and political development. Candidates with Ph.D.’s in economic history, economic sociology, new institutional economics, political economy, public policy, or similar field are encouraged to apply.
