Kenyon College is conducting a search to fill the position of Director of Student Engagement. The Director of Student Engagement has specific responsibility for supervision of professional and support staff, social events policy administration, administration of student organization management/support, Greek system oversight, programming coordination, and leadership education and development. The Director is a key member of the Kenyon College Student Affairs team and reports directly to the Dean of Students. In cooperation with other Student Affairs staff members, the Director shares an awareness of and concern for all aspects of each student's academic, residential and co-curricular life. The work of the Director of Student Engagement includes evening and weekend responsibilities.
Executive Assistant to the Dean of Admissions | Vice President for Enrollment Gambier, OH
Kenyon College invites applications for the Executive Assistant to the Dean of Admissions & Vice President for Enrollment.  This is a 12-month, full-time, exempt position in Kenyon’s Enrollment Division. The Executive Assistant provides support to the Vice President of Enrollment and senior members of the Enrollment Team.  This individual will manage schedules, make travel arrangements, screen and route correspondence, conduct meeting follow-up, prepare expense reports, support Divisional activities and campus-wide committees. Additionally, they will oversee Divisional Calendar, Shared Drives and listservs, and BoardEffect software; assist the VP with research and preparation for trustee meetings and public addresses. This individual will handle confidential information and will balance workflow with time-sensitive and emergent situations.
Assistant Director for Student and Young Alumni Giving Gambier, OH
Kenyon College is conducting a search to fill the position of Assistant Director for Student and Young Alumni Giving. This role has primary responsibility for managing the alumni class agent program for the classes of 2014 and younger and aiding the 5th (and eventually the 10th) reunion planning committee with planning for social and fundraising goals. Director of Strategic Procurement Ohio Five Colleges
The Five Colleges of Ohio (a consortium of The College of Wooster, Denison University, Kenyon College, Oberlin College, and Ohio Wesleyan University) seeks its next Director of Strategic Procurement (DSP) to lead our strong shared procurement program, administer procurement software platforms, and leverage data to achieve strategic cost-saving initiatives and contracts. The DSP fosters collaboration among college procurement personnel, advancing the strategic goals of cost savings/avoidance, service improvement, sustainability, and diversity. The DSP will use data, analytics, and benchmarking to evaluate vendor performance, consortial contracts, RFPs, and procurement-related risk, to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and to inform the Ohio Five’s strategic procurement strategy. The Director supports the shared Jaggaer e-procurement portal, overseeing project planning, implementation, and system administration at participating colleges while managing suppliers, PCard utilization, contracts, workflow management and financial approvals. The Director leads system enhancement implementations, integrates system data with college ERP systems, and provides meaningful spend analytics using system data. The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) in business, operations, or finance with 3-5 years of experience in purchasing and/or contract administration. Strong system administration ability is key, with preferred experience with Jaggaer systems. We’re looking for a skilled facilitator who can foster successful collaborations among college purchasing, finance, and IT staff, with excellent analytical, research and problem-solving skills. This position offers flexibility, with an office located on any of the five campuses, options for some remote work. Ohio Five supports regular travel to the five colleges as part of this position. Admissions Counselor/Assistant Director of Admissions Gambier, OH
Kenyon College, a co-educational, liberal arts and sciences institution in central Ohio, is conducting a search for Admissions Counselor/Assistant Director of Admissions position openings (titles dependent on experience).  These are 12-month, full-time positions in the Office of Admissions. Admissions counselors/assistant directors participate in a team-oriented working environment through all phases of the recruitment and selection process.   The admissions officers will convey key institutional messages to prospective students and parents on- and off-campus and cultivate professional relationships with guidance counselors and key educational organizations. The recruitment portfolio will include travel (8-10 weeks per year), counseling and advising students and families regarding the admission process, conducting interviews and presentations, maintaining relationships with guidance counselors and managing a territory throughout the admission cycle.  Admissions officers fully participate in the evaluation of applications.  The successful candidate(s) will have excellent communication skills, both in writing and speaking; great organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail; and strong interpersonal skills. An understanding of and appreciation for the values of a residential liberal arts college are essential. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required. Assistant Director of Athletics Communications Gambier, OH
Kenyon College invites applications for the position of Assistant Director of Athletics Communications. This is a full-time, 10-month reporting position with benefits.  Under the general direction of the Director of Athletics Communications, the Assistant is responsible for promoting the College’s twenty-two varsity athletics programs, as well as fitness and recreation programs, through written, verbal and electronic communications. Primary duties include overseeing the upkeep of the Athletics Department’s main social media platforms, as well as the operation of the Kenyon Sports Connection, an online endeavor encompassing live game broadcasts, in-game statistics, coach/student interviews, video highlights and occasional feature stories. The Assistant Director of Athletics Communications will also maintain the College’s athletics website, write press releases and game summaries, compile in-game statistics, and cultivate communication with coaches, administrators, student-athletes and media.  In addition to office hours, the Assistant Director of Athletics Communications will be expected to work evenings and weekends, as required, and will travel to cover Kenyon’s teams when necessary. Writing Center Director Gambier, OH
Kenyon College is hiring a Director for its Writing Center. The Writing Center provides peer-to-peer tutoring services to facilitate the improvement of written communication skills for undergraduate students of all levels, in all disciplines, and in all phases of the writing process. The primary responsibilities of the Director are: 1) management of the Writing Center, including providing leadership, vision, and innovation in the design and delivery of peer tutoring related to writing and programming that will enhance writing on campus, 2) hiring, supervising and mentoring the undergraduate tutoring staff, 3) teaching 1-2 courses per year in the English department, including a tutor training course, 4) outreach and coordination of programs with campus offices such as Academic Advising and Support, the Center for Global Engagement, the Kenyon Review, and Student Accessibility and Support Services. The Managing Editor of the Kenyon Review is a full-time position responsible for overseeing the production schedule, assigning materials to the editorial team and Associates, and liaising with writers and agents.
