Kenyon College is conducting a national search for a new Assistant Director of Residential Life. Kenyon recently received a transformational gift of $100 million to build three new residence halls and our new Assistant Director of Residential Life will partner with the entire team in Residential Life, students, and colleagues at Kenyon to make these facilities a seamless extension of our vibrant campus facilities and the events which occur within them. We take great pride in being a fully residential liberal arts college and the new Assistant Director of Residential Life will be a colleague who can bring ideas to life while ensuring fingerprints from across campus are present at every stage of efforts they shepherd.
The residential experience is a cornerstone of Kenyon College and this position will have the opportunity to be a true servant leader in creating an environment where students partner with colleagues to make the campus their classroom. Currently, Kenyon’s fully-residential housing program includes twelve residence halls, eight apartment areas, and ten specialty houses. We are proud to be the home of the Kenyon Review literary magazine, the Brown Family Environmental Center (a 500-acre nature preserve), the Kenyon Access Initiative, and the most team and individual national championships of any NCAA Division III Institution.
The Assistant Director of Residential Life is a member of the Office of Residential Life, reporting directly to the Director of Residential Life. The Assistant Director of Residential Life supports the mission of the College by overseeing the daily management of a residential area housing 500-800 students.
This is an eleven (11) month (exempt), live-in position that includes evening and weekend responsibilities.
Kenyon College is a nationally prominent, private liberal arts college where academic excellence goes hand in hand with a strong sense of community and close relationships among students and professors.
