Two-year sabbatical replacement search in Italian
Kenyon College, a highly selective, nationally ranked liberal arts college in central Ohio, is seeking applications for a two-year visiting position in Italian at the Assistant Professor level, beginning July 1, 2022. Applicants should have completed their PhD by the time of appointment. The successful applicant will have a demonstrable record of teaching excellence, especially in language courses, with training in pedagogy. Native or near-native fluency in Italian is required.
A complete application will consist of 1) a cover letter discussing the applicant’s research interests and teaching experience, including methods for incorporating issues related to diversity, inclusion, and equity in the classroom; 2) a curriculum vitae; 3) the names and contact information for three recommenders; 4) an unofficial transcript; and 5) a syllabus from a recent language course. Review of applications will begin Monday, January 3, 2022, and will continue until the position is filled. Initial interviews by videoconference during January. Finalist candidates will be invited to campus.
