Kenyon College is seeking applications for a Systems Analyst position in the Information Technology Services (ITS) department. Kenyon College, one of the nation’s finest liberal arts colleges, is a small school where academic excellence and a strong sense of community go hand in hand. Kenyon’s beautiful hilltop campus is located in Gambier, OH, 45 miles northeast of Columbus, OH. Kenyon enrolls 1700 undergraduate students, all of whom live on campus the entire time they are students at Kenyon.
The Information Technology Services (ITS) department is an inclusive group committed to ensuring all students, faculty, staff, alumni, and other campus partners have a safe, productive, enjoyable, and meaningful experience with college technology. We provide creative solutions, responsive services, and reliable secure access to an enabling infrastructure. ITS is a part of the Library and Information Services division (LBIS), where we enjoy an encouraging environment where we continue to grow, learn, and pursue our craft. We are respectful of all, kind, friendly, helpful, and enjoy a sense of humor--something we find essential to our success. Work/life balance is valued here: we love our work but understand that there’s more to life! Professional development and diversity are also valued here: we continually learn new skills, grow in our understanding of the world around us, and explore new technologies.
The person in this position reports to the Director of Innovation and Analytics and will interact regularly with many departments to support the mission of the College, collaborating extensively with other members of the ITS team. The ITS team supports many college data systems such as Banner, Advance, Slate, Cognos, PyraMED, TOPDesk, Etrieve, Residence, Advocate, and more.
If you are interested in a breadth of responsibilities, rarely repeating the same day twice, and working with diverse clients, you will like this position. The person in this position will receive a wide range of assignments engaging with the campus community, performing duties that include system management, database management, integration and analysis. Custom system integration is needed to connect on-premise enterprise software with cloud-based services. Detailed system analysis is needed to implement software effectively and maximize institutional value.

We are also looking for someone with analytical and troubleshooting skills, effective communication skills, experience working with diverse communities, project management skills, and an ability to meet deadlines with innovative solutions.
We value both education and experience. A successful candidate should be comfortable with technology, curious, and love to learn. These are the minimum requirements for a successful candidate:
- A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related technology field. An equivalent combination of directly related experience and education is also welcome.
- Knowledge of SQL programming - design, coding and testing.
