Kenyon Dissertation Fellowship Gambier, OH
Kenyon College, a highly selective, nationally ranked liberal arts college in central Ohio, invites applications for the Marilyn Yarbrough Dissertation/Teaching Fellowship beginning in July 2021. The program is for scholars in the final stages of their doctoral work who need only to finish the dissertation to complete requirements for the Ph.D. We hope the experience of teaching, researching, and living for a year at Kenyon will encourage these Fellows to consider a liberal arts college as a place to begin their careers as teachers and scholars. Kenyon College, located on an idyllic campus in the beautiful village of Gambier (50 miles NE of Columbus), enrolls approximately 1650 students and is ranked in the top tier of national liberal arts colleges. Tenure-Track Position Assistant Professor of Asian Art History Gambier, OH
Candidates must have expertise in the art, architecture, and visual culture of any geographic region in pre-1900 Asia, and possess a demonstrated ability and desire to teach courses in many areas of Asian art. We seek a creative colleague who can immediately contribute to re-shaping the current curriculum. Applicants must be interested in offering a fresh, global perspective on permanent courses, including the Introduction to Asian Art, and developing intermediate and advanced-level courses on the art, architecture, and visual culture of East Asia, South Asia, or Southeast Asia. We are interested in teacher-scholars who can offer creative ways to engage with the Department’s Visual Resources Center, our Study Collection (https://digital.kenyon.edu/arthistorystudycollection/), and regional art museums. Applicants should complement, not duplicate, current expertise of the department. The candidate will also have an opportunity to work with the Asian and Middle East Studies interdisciplinary major. Executive Assistant to the Division of Student Affairs Gambier, OH
Kenyon College is conducting a search for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Executive Assistant to the Division of Student Affairs. Reporting directly to the Vice President for Student Affairs (VPSA), and providing primary support to the VPSA, the Dean of Students (DOS), and the Dean of Campus Life (DCL), the Executive Assistant provides essential support for the smooth, effective and efficient functioning of the Division of Student Affairs. The Executive Assistant has primary responsibility for coordinating the VPSA, DOS and DCL calendars and supporting the work of the Student Affairs Leadership Team. Additional responsibilities include scheduling conduct review board meetings, administering student withdrawal and illness notifications, coordinating meeting and event logistics for the Division, and maintaining essential record-keeping. This is a full-time, 11-month position, with one month off from June 15 to July 15. The hourly rate of pay is $16.29.
Associate Director of Health Services Gambier, OH
Kenyon College is conducting a search for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Associate Director of Health Services. The Associate Director of Health Services will be responsible for the successful delivery of clinical health and medical services. The leadership provided by this position will facilitate a holistic approach to student wellness, maintain a positive rapport with the campus community, and create a balanced work environment that promotes personal and professional fulfillment. As an administrator, the Associate Director will ensure appropriate care provided by physicians, advanced practice clinicians, nurses, and clinical trainees. As a clinician, the Associate Director will provide direct patient care - assessments, diagnosis, and treatment, including referrals when the required care is beyond the Center’s scope of practice. The Associate Director is also focused on ensuring the alignment of Health Services with the policies and procedures of the Cox Health & Counseling Center, Division of Student Affairs, and Kenyon College. This position reports to the Director of the Cox Health & Counseling Center.
Film Production Manager, Temporary Gambier, OH
Kenyon College is conducting a search for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Film Production Manager on a temporary basis. The Film Production Manager has several related roles: management of film facilities and operations in the Kenyon Wright Center: supervising student employees and scheduling and managing production and post-production for student filmmakers. The Film Production Manager works with faculty to create a constructive learning environment for film students. This position is also the liaison to the Office of Community Partnerships and the Office of Admissions at Kenyon College. The Film Production Manager reports to the Chair of the Department of Dance, Drama and Film. This temporary position will begin January 15th, 2021 and complete June 1st, 2021 and is part-time, approximately 20 hours per week based on the needs of the department. Essential Qualifications: BA or BFA in film/video production or related field, or commensurate experience in a professional setting. Experience with film lighting, electrical distribution and management, film studio best practices, video and sound post-production software, digital cinema cameras and digital sound devices. Comfortable managing student employees and settling safety and equipment circulation policies. Works well with students, faculty, local community members and visitors.
Assistant Director of Donor Relations Gambier, OH

The Assistant Director of Donor Relations works as a team with the Director of Donor Relations and the Advancement Division to implement creative, donor-centric stewardship in order to sustain positive and mutually rewarding relationships between the College and its supporters. The successful candidate will be a motivated, creative, positive individual, who thrives in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities include assisting with the acknowledgment process, narrative and financial reports, events, and all things related to donor relations.
Kenyon Review Fellowship Gambier, OH
The Kenyon Review invites applications for a two-year residential post-graduate fellowship in creative writing beginning in August 2021. During these two years, fellows will undertake a significant writing project and teach one course per semester in the Kenyon College English Department, contingent upon departmental needs. Fellows will also assist with creative and editorial projects for the Kenyon Review and KROnline. Fellows are required to live in the local community and are expected to participate in the cultural life of Kenyon College by regularly attending readings, lectures, presentations, and other campus activities. Qualifications include an MFA in creative writing, or a PhD in creative writing, English literature, or comparative literature. The degree must be completed between January 1, 2015 and December 1, 2020. Qualified candidates will also have teaching experience in creative writing and/or literature at the undergraduate level. A history of publication in literary journals is expected. The Kenyon Review will provide an annual $36,572 stipend, plus health benefits. Associate Creative Director, Video Gambier, OH
Kenyon College, a national liberal arts college an hour northeast of Columbus, Ohio, seeks a talented videographer to join an award-winning communications team. The associate creative director for video crafts multimedia narratives that cleverly express Kenyon’s brand with the goal of attracting prospective students, engaging alumni and inspiring donors.  With an exceptional talent for storytelling and eye for composition, the associate creative director captures Kenyon’s voice through film, developing content that ranges from long-form narratives and YouTube series to short-form videos and social media teasers. This self-motivated individual is experienced in developing and pursuing original ideas that support the College’s strategic initiatives, leading all facets of video production from conception to final delivery. The associate creative director serves as the voice for the College’s YouTube channel and partners with the Digital Content Editor to bolster its presence on Instagram and TikTok, creating and curating content that distinguishes Kenyon in the online video landscape. In this capacity, the associate creative director employs and empowers a team of student film interns to strategically contribute to and support this work.   Reporting to the Creative and Marketing Director and collaborating with members of a dynamic communications team, the associate creative director plays a key role in the expression of Kenyon’s brand by contributing to staff meetings and brainstorms, advising on creative solutions and approaching projects from new angles.
