Kenyon College, a national liberal arts college an hour northeast of Columbus, Ohio, seeks a creative and motivated individual to join a dynamic and collaborative information technology team. The Network Engineer supports the College’s mission through managing the campus network infrastructure, as well as participating in all aspects of the campus technology environment, including computer and network security, identity and access management, and technology strategic planning.
Because information technology is essential to every part of the College’s work, the Network Engineer must collaborate with a broadly diverse and talented community, including faculty, students, and administrative staff in every department. The Network Engineer manages, maintains, and configures Kenyon’s network, including the configuration, and management of its physical components as well as the management of the logical network model. The Network Engineer works closely with colleagues to resolve network-related problems. Building and sustaining relationships with departmental colleagues and with members of our diverse campus community is a key element of the Network Engineer’s work.
The Network Engineer also participates in the business aspects of technology, including budget planning, contract and service agreement review. Collectively with other members of the Information Technology Services department, the Network Engineer works to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations that govern security and data privacy.
