Kenyon College seeks a full-time assistant coach for Cross Country and Track and Field. This is a full time, 10-month reporting position with benefits.
Kenyon College, a highly selective liberal arts college of 1600 students, is a Division III member of the NCAA and is a founding member of the North Coast Athletic Conference. Kenyon offers twenty-two varsity sports, eleven for men and eleven for women. The college is located in the beautiful village of Gambier, 50 miles northeast of Columbus, Ohio.
Under general direction of the Track and Field and Cross Country Head Coach, this coach will assist with the responsibilities of the NCAA D-III Men’s and Women’s Track and Field and Cross Country program in accordance and compliance with NCAA, NCAC, and Kenyon College policies and regulations. All applications will be considered, but an emphasis will be given for this position to candidates with experience teaching and instructing student-athletes in the rules and fundamentals of the Throwing and Multi-Event groups, ideally with experience coaching the fundamentals of the Javelin. Additional responsibilities include: recruiting, travel, equipment acquisitions and maintenance, as well as event management, facility overview, teaching and /or administration as assigned.
A Bachelor's degree is required, Master's degree preferred. Prior successful cross country/track coaching experience is a pre-requisite preferably at the college level.
