The Five Colleges of Ohio, Inc. (a consortium comprised of The College of Wooster, Denison University, Kenyon College, Oberlin College, and Ohio Wesleyan University) seeks a qualified candidate to serve as Program and Budget Manager at the organization’s headquarters at Oberlin College. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Coordinator is responsible for the administrative management of Ohio Five operations, including budget development, tracking and accounting, meeting and event planning, web communications, and general office functions. This position also provides program support to several Ohio Five committees and working groups. Key responsibilities include:
The successful candidate will demonstrate experience in tracking budgets and handling bookkeeping functions in a professional setting, and will have completed basic accounting coursework. Proficiency in MS Office software as well as online scheduling and meeting programs (Google Hangouts, Zoom), is a requirement, along with the ability to learn new software, including Banner, an online invoice approval system, and other programs used in an academic setting. Strong written communication skills and experience in working with website content management systems are also key elements of this position. Some day travel to partner campuses will be expected.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work independently and who is enthusiastic about interacting with and supporting committees and a wide range of academic staff and faculty. This is a full-time salaried twelve-month position with a generous Kenyon College benefit package and is an ideal opportunity for an individual interested in non-profit management experience.
