Visiting Assistant Professor of Art History
Position Summary and Responsibilities Kenyon College, a highly selective, nationally ranked liberal arts college in central Ohio, invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Art History, with broad training in Modern art and architecture (preferably c. 1750 -- c. 1920). A secondary specialization in art and architecture from outside of Europe and the U.S. would be particularly welcome. The position is for the academic year 2018-2019. The visiting faculty member will teach five courses per year, including contributions to the introductory surveys and intermediate classes.
Qualifications The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in hand at the time of the appointment. Applicants who are advanced ABD candidates with a completion date in the near future will also be considered. Experience as the instructor of record in college-level courses is required. We seek scholars who demonstrate teaching excellence in an undergraduate setting.
