Kenyon College seeks a Mac Systems Administrator to join a team which provides faculty, staff, and students with a robust and reliable computing environment for teaching, learning, and personal productivity. This position will provide technical support for Mac desktop and laptop computers, mobile devices, applications, and related technology. This support includes, but is not limited to, configuring and deploying new hardware, installing software, testing and troubleshooting issues, routine maintenance, ad hoc training, and researching new support methods. Primary areas of support include Kenyon’s Mac computer labs for digital video and audio production, other specialty Mac computing clusters, as well as Mac laptop and iPad fleets for academic purposes.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field or equivalent work experience, extensive knowledge of Apple operating systems (MacOS, iOS, tvOS), demonstrated experience with an MDM such as JAMF Pro, software licensing management experience, project management experience, and excellent communication skills, oral and written. Evening and/or weekend work may be required. A valid driver’s license is required for this position. Ability to perform moderate physical activity (lifting boxes, moving computers, navigation with hand trucks) is required.
