Kenyon College invites applications for the full-time position of Head Women’s Volleyball Coach. This is a full-time, 10-month reporting position that includes a generous benefits package.
Kenyon College, a highly selective liberal arts college of 1600 students, is a Division III member of the NCAA and is a founding member of the North Coast Athletic Conference. Kenyon offers twenty-two varsity sports, eleven for men and eleven for women. The college is located in the beautiful village of Gambier, 50 miles northeast of Columbus, Ohio.
The Head Women’s Volleyball Coach will be responsible for all phases of managing and directing a successful NCAA and NCAC Volleyball program: supervising an assistant coach, recruiting, instructing, strength training & conditioning, arranging travel, managing budgets, tracking equipment and developing alumni contacts. Additionally, the coach needs to teach proper technique and skill development in various aspects of volleyball. The candidate should have a complete and thorough understanding of the sport and be able to instruct student-athletes in small group and one-on-one settings as well as instruct student-athletes on physical health, team concepts and team building exercises. The Head Volleyball Coach will also be responsible for working with various constituencies across campus to ensure that student-athletes are part of the whole Kenyon community.
The position includes teaching one class in the spring semester and additional duties as assigned by Athletic Director. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
A Bachelor's degree is required, Master's degree preferred. Prior successful Volleyball Coaching experience is a pre-requisite preferably at the college level.
