Construction Project Coordinator
Reporting to the Construction Project Manager, the Construction Project Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, directing and controlling new construction and major renovation projects. He/she will be responsible for managing project budgets, project estimating, supervision of general contractors/construction management firms, coordinating project bid processes, and long-range facilities development plans.
The traditional work schedule is 8 hours per day, 7:30am to 4:30pm although flexible scheduling and work during non-traditional hours (such as evening or weekends) may be required. This is a limited-term appointment not to continue past June 30, 2021.
Under the direction of the Construction Project Manager, the Construction Project Coordinator will will coordinate new construction and renovation projects by:
Minimum Qualifications:A.) B.S. in Engineering, Project or Construction Management with 3 years of related work experience OR,B.) Any combination of education or related training with 6 years of work experience in construction administration, project planning, or project management.C.) Must have excellent computer skills with a working knowledge of software related to design and construction industry.D.) Strong leadership and supervision skills.E.) Must have a valid Driver License and complete Kenyon College Driver training.F.) Must be able to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds and work in and around active construction sites in all types of weather.G.) Employment is contingent upon satisfactory results of a due diligence background check.
