Visiting Assistant Professor of Art History
Kenyon College, a highly selective, nationally ranked liberal arts college in central Ohio, invites applications for a visiting position in Ancient Art (Greek and Roman) in the Department of Art History at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning in July 2018. The successful candidate will teach five courses per year, including contributions to the introductory surveys of art history (Ancient to Medieval and History of Architecture), intermediate classes in Ancient Art, and one advanced seminar. We seek candidates with strengths in Ancient Greek and Roman art and in architectural history. A secondary teaching area in North African/Egyptian, or the Ancient Near East is desirable. Qualifications include Ph.D. in art history, but will consider ABD if scheduled for completion by spring 2018. Commitment to scholarship and evidence of teaching excellence at the undergraduate level required.
