Kenyon College is conducting a search for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Assistant Director of the Math and Science Skills Center. The Math and Science Skills Center (MSSC) is a centralized student support center whose core mission is to provide a physical location and set of trained student tutors to engage with students in introductory courses in Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Mathematics, Physics and Psychology. The assistant director of the Math and Science Skills Center is the center’s manager whose primary responsibility is to work with tutors and students during the center's evening hours of operation. The rate of pay for this part-time position is $20.00 per hour.

The assistant director of the MSSC is responsible for the operation of the center. Specifically, these responsibilities include:
The assistant director of the MSSC is responsible for any emergency situation that arises when the center is open. The assistant director of the MSSC will report to the Director of the MSSC with any needs or anomalies that arise in the center. The assistant director of the MSSC will supervise the student tutors while they are working at the center. The assistant director of the MSSC will work from the classrooms assigned to the MSSC.
Minimum Qualifications: B.A. in a science discipline or science education. Classroom and/or tutoring experience preferred.
