Kenyon College is conducting a search for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Prospect Research Analyst.The Prospect Research Analyst provides information and analysis in support of the fundraising and engagement efforts of the College Relations Division. Working in Advancement Information Services and reporting to the Director of Prospect Research, the analyst identifies, researches, and evaluates potential donors to Kenyon, and produces timely, accurate, analytical research material for College Relations staff and Kenyon leadership.

Ability to translate information into specific evaluations and recommendations. • Understanding of fundraising priorities, goals, and strategies. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, Kenyon’s computer system, internet search techniques, and prospect research tools including LexisNexis for Development Professionals, WealthEngine, and Foundation Directory.• Ability to interpret financial information from SEC filings and other public records.• Excellent writing skills. Ability to write clear, accurate, grammatical summaries of complex information.• Attention to detail and follow-up. Dedication to accuracy and quality.• Flexibility and focus. Ability to handle multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities. Can work under pressure and handle last-minute requests, maintaining a sense of proportion and good humor.• Ability to work independently, establish and meet goals and deadlines, and track activities. • Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships. Ability to collaborate and work well with a team. • Integrity, strong work ethic, and high standards for professional achievement.• Good judgment, sensitivity, respect, and discretion in dealing with confidential material. Adherence to ethical and professional standards of APRA and the department. Working Conditions Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and to sit for long period of times. Minimum Qualifications ● Bachelor’s degree● At least two years of development research, or comparable research and writing experience in business, information management/library science, the humanities or social science.
● Bachelor’s degree from a liberal arts institution, or substantial experience and knowledge of that setting.● Advanced degree in business, liberal arts, or information sciences.● Experience in entering and using data on a development database.
